Private Patients Services (0845 850 40 50)
PPS Founder Tony Briggs has developed the PPS Consumer Information Line in a response to the current wave of makeover shows on television. There is concern that some of the shows devalue the expertise of top surgeons and the service is a bid to remind consumers that despite the growth in invasive cosmetic surgery, it still requires careful consideration, research and preparation.
The PPS Consumer Information Line is a move towards more responsible healthcare within the sector and a move back to what Briggs describes as 'education, rather than entertainment'.
Despite the enormous growth in the UK many people have no idea how to select a cosmetic surgeon, the costs involved or which operations and procedures are available to them.
PPS consultants, clinicians and general practitioners are at the top of their profession and afford the company an exceptional breadth of experience in all areas of healthcare and cosmetic surgery.
The information service is answering hundreds of questions including; which operations and procedures are available, what are the costs, can they continue taking HRT, will they be able to drive immediately after an operation, how coon can they colour their hair, is it dangerous to smoke before an operation, can they continue taking the contraceptive pill throughout, is a seventy year old lady too elderly for surgery, should they lose weight before an operation, does their intended surgeon work for the NHS, what are his/her credentials, can they speak to past patients.
